The way in which she breaks down the techniques and explains them is amazing. Traci is patient, always welcomes questions, and is very inspiring. MARK HAYES
For over 40 years, International Creative Director Mark Hayes has been inspiring hairdressers with his passionate approach and his technical expertise. Mark’s signature style - a series of pared-down looks reflecting his love of modernist art and architecture - puts him at the forefront of global hair design, taking him all over the world coaching, teaching and inspiring.
Mark’s yearly schedule revolves around developing the seasonal collections and leading the worldwide demand for Sassoon Hair Design. As he puts it, "I take great pride in continuing the Sassoon legacy. My goal is to give more people more creative opportunities more of the time. It has been an incredible journey so far”.

NORTH AMERICAN CREATIVE DIRECTOR
TRACI SAKOSITS
North American Creative Director Traci started her Sassoon journey in New York in 1992, where her talents were soon recognised and was promoted to Assistant Creative Director of the Beverly Hills Salon 1994.
Traci moved to the Los Angeles Academy and as a result of her passion and dedication was appointed North American Creative Director in April 2012.
Tracis calm temperament, incredible talent and giving personality helps in her role of inspiring all of the North American stylists in the Salons and Academies.
Traci leads shows and seminars around the globe and is responsible for inspiring thousands of fellow hair professionals and students in her role as a renowned educator.

RICHIE RIVERA
Our North American Colour Director, Richie Rivera started his Sassoon career at the Los Angeles Academy in 1992 before joining the Boston team.
Promoted to North American Colour Director in April 2012, Richie has the responsibility of educating and developing the next generation of colourists and tinters in all the North America Salons and Academies.
Over his 20 years with Sassoon, Richie has gained a reputation for being a gifted educator, who captivates his audiences. Frequently representing Sassoon internationally, from Japan to Brazil and everywhere in between, his talent in the salon has led to a loyal clientele in Boston, where he continues to see clients on a regular basis.

UK ASSISTANT ACADEMY CREATIVE DIRECTOR
DANIELLE HARVEY
Our UK Assistant Academy Creative Director, Danielle leads the Academy Team teaching students of all levels.
Her journey with Sassoon began at the Covent Garden Salon in 1988 where she worked as an assistant. Once fully qualified, she transferred to the Manchester Salon, building a clientele of 90’s popstars and TV celebrities.
After directing the Manchester School, Danielle returned to London in 1993 as an instructor at the London Academy. Since then, Danielles captivating personality has encouraged a loyal international following as well as contributing significantly to the Academy Collections.
Danielle was appointed UK Assistant Academy Creative Director in March 2017.

LUCUS ETCITTY
Lucus began his career with Sassoon in 1994 at the Chicago Salon and went on to work in Sassoon locations all over the world – London, San Francisco, Scottsdale, Leeds, Frankfurt, Munich - before finally settling into his current position at the Santa Monica Academy in 2003.
As Color Director, Lucus guides both new and seasoned color specialists - sharing the spectrum of Sassoon color techniques from color theory and application to trends. He is also a fixture on the trade show circuit and regularly travels to represent Sassoon as part of the Academy Team. Lucus’s patient and enthusiastic teaching style has made him a favorite amongst students and one of the most requested color instructors in Santa Monica.

Our UK Assistant Salon Creative Director, Gareth is responsible for leading the creative direction of all UK Salons.

Gareth has enthusiastically represented Sassoon with in Australia, Japan, Brazil, Scandinavia, Russia, Spain, Italy, and Belgium. He has also presented at as a guest instructor at the Sassoon Academy in London as well as Salon International, The Alternative Hair Show and Fellowship Masterclasses in the UK and Europe.

Silvia first fell in love with Sassoon back in the early ‘90s after finding herself drawn to the innovative presentations at the Alternative Hair Show. Silvia began her Sassoon journey eight years later where, upon qualifying she began her teaching career at the London Academy.
Silvia’s flair, passion and drive resulted in her being awarded the position of Creative Director in 2005 and subsequently Senior Creative Director in 2013. Silvia is based at the London Academy where she has a faithful following of international guests and regularly contributes key looks to world renowned Sassoon Collections.

Caroline’s career with Sassoon began at the age of 15 when she joined the Apprenticeship Programme following a chance encounter at a Careers Convention.
During her training, Caroline soon realised that her true passion was in colour and credits UK Colour Director, Edward Darley, Tracey Hayes and Julianne O’Brien for each giving her a different take on colour and encouraging her to develop her unique talent.
On completion of her Apprenticeship, Caroline joined the London Academy as a Colouring Instructor and now holds the coveted position of Senior Colour Director. Caroline has developed a reputation as a Master Colourist with her finger on fashion's pulse and frequently travels across the world with Sassoon, working alongside the International Creative Team on a wide range of seminars and shows.

Daniel’s career with Sassoon began at the age of 19 when he joined the London Academy as a student on the Diploma course before taking a couple of years out to travel the world and explore different cultures. Daniel returned to Sassoon as a Varderer at the Covent Garden Salon before qualifying as a Creative Cutter and joining the London Academy a year later as a Cutting Instructor.
Since then Daniel’s career has taken off and his passion, dedication and drive have seen him promoted to the position of Creative Director, as well as taking him to worldwide destinations such as Russia, Finland, Belgium and Brazil where his natural passion and cutting edge flair has endeared him to his international audience.
In such a short space of time, Daniel has contributed enormously to the Sassoon Academy Collections and has also had his work featured in fashion editorials for an array of leading titles as well being responsible for styling the hair at hugely influential shows during Men’s London Fashion Week.

EDWARD DARLEY
Edward’s career began with completing the in-depth Sassoon training programme in the Leeds salon. He then developed a devoted clientele, propelling his career forward at remarkable speed, where his natural flair for teaching made him an obvious choice for the Academy in London. In 2006 he was promoted to UK Colour Director, which sees him maintaining Sassoon standard in all of the UK Salons and Academies.
He regularly travels the world as a member of the International Creative Team, presenting shows, seminars and workshops, as well as working closely alongside Mark Hayes, International Creative Director to develop the key trends fo the Sassoon Academy and Salon collections. Edward was awarded the coveted accolade of fellowship Hairdresser of the Year 2016.
